After the success of the African Naming Ceremony for Cote D’Ivoire last year at Le Main Tendu festival in Downtown Silver Spring, we are we once again extending an invitation to join us on the weekend of August 5-6, 2017.
On August 5, 2017 at 3:00pm, join an Ivorian family for cooking lessons. Learn how to make Tchonko (made with spinach and bean leaves) as well as Toh (made with corn).
On August 6, 2017, at 3:00pm in Downtown Silver Spring, we will take part in the Naming Ceremony. Receive your birthright!!!
Like last year, the Ivorian community will be providing African fabric to each participant so they could have something made for their big day!
